The REHC

The Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) is the regulatory authority governing all aspects of horse racing in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

REHC’s racing season starts from the first week of November with once a week racing continuing through to the end of April. About 300 horses participate during the racing season that takes place an average of 7 races per meeting and a field of 9 runners. Six races are formed for thoroughbreds, one for Arabian horses; three are local thoroughbreds and three for imported.

Dedicated marketing communication campaigns both at the regional and international arena have helped position the REHC as a premier organization promoting thoroughbred horse racing. REHC enjoys national support from some of the leading names in government, industry and the corporate sector.
