REHC & RACE Academy To Host First Ever Jockey Courses.
Shaikh Salman bin Rashed Al Khalifa, executive director of Rashid Equestrian & Horseracing Club today met with Keith Rowe, the Director of RACE Ireland (Racing Academy & Centre Of Education).

The REHC and RACE Academy have agreed a partnership that will see Bahrain’s first ever jockey academy set up here at the club.

It was part of the REHC High Committee’s vision to invest in Bahraini talent to ensure that Bahraini jockeys and riders can develop and compete at the highest level.

State of the art riding and learning facilities are now available to local riders at the REHC. The riders will also be able to use the support and expertise of RACE Academy coaches, who will be based out in Bahrain for the duration of the course.

Shaikh Salman bin Rashed Al-Khalifa said: “It is an incredibly exciting time for horse racing in Bahrain, and by establishing this partnership with RACE Academy, we are providing a platform for young riders to develop their skills and maximise their potential here in Bahrain. It is thanks to the vision of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa that this is possible and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for young Bahraini riders both here and on an international scale.”
