Rashid Equestrian & Horseracing Club goes digital with new online service
The new facilities enable applications to be processed and paid for digitally and include a new system for trainers to enter their horses and confirm raceday runners. In addition, from 2024 owners will be able to design and customize their own racing colours online.
Ahead of the new racing season, which gets underway on Friday 27 October, participants can now apply to renew their licences or submit new applications without having to present themselves in person at the Bahrain Turf Club’s offices.
Aysha Al Nasser, Finance Director of the Rashid Equestrian & Horseracing Club, said: “We are delighted to launch this new online service for the sport’s participants, the initiative represents a major step forward in improving our efficiencies.
“Previously owners, trainers and jockeys had to physically come to the office to submit and pay for their registration or licence, consequently, the implementation of the digital services will also reduce our carbon footprint.
“The opportunity for owners to design their set of racing colours online will be an exciting addition to our digital offering and will be available from next year.”
The Club have also introduced a video to assist all parties in the transition to the new registration process. The deadline for new applications for the coming season is Thursday 12th October.
