Following a hearing held at the offices of the REHC on 27 February 2024, the Stewards suspended Jason Watson from riding for one month 23 February to 23 March 2024 and imposed a fine of BD200/- on him.

This followed an admission from Jason Watson that, when selected for random sampling at the race meeting held at Sakhir racecourse on Saturday 17 February 2024, he had failed to declare that he had taken a notifiable medication and had then ridden on that day.

Jason shared his honest and open admission as soon as he was made aware of the positive finding and was fined and suspended in line with the penalties imposed under the Rules of REHC.
